End of Work 2010

My Break officially starts today. Although I am still working at Perth International Airport, I am please to say that things have been going well for me. My second paper has just been officially published in Clinical Cancer Research or here. I am so proud to be the co-first author of this paper and can't wait to make myself up the ladder to be the first author. That being said, communication is key when it comes to work. I really need to build a good relationship with my bosses in order to be successful in future. Sometimes it is hard to understand what the boss want. You try really hard to explain what is happening but he doesn't seem to listen. In this case you can only shut your mouth and take in what you've learned. I've gained a lot of experience so far but it is never enough. At times like these you really need motivation and full support from your loved ones. Thankfully I have my gf who is always there for me. She gives me great confidence in what I have to offer and I thank her for that. Friends are important too, but sometimes you would think to yourself, are they real or not? I have seen enough to be certain of what are genuine and those that would fuck you up. Anyhow I am just ranting because I have another 3 hours before my flight leaves for Kuala Lumpur. I have been working the whole morning at the airport as well. I do pray that my bosses understand that I have lots to offer in this research industry. It really kills me when he accused me of something that I didn't do and all I can say is sorry. Fingers crossed that he will be in a good mood tomorrow. After writing this, I realised that its a Saturday. May they read my email and get back to me as soon as possible. Wish me luck!
